What you get as a merchant on Storix: the four parts

The Academy's entry point: the four parts of Storix, your free store address, how the plan and wallet work, and the eight launch-checklist steps before your first sale.

Launch basics

Most Egyptian sellers start the same way: a page on Instagram, orders arriving as WhatsApp messages, and a spreadsheet to remember who ordered what. It works while orders are few. Then a busy week comes, a message slips down the list, and a paid order disappears.

Here is what you get as a merchant on Storix: one place for your products, orders, stock, payments and delivery. The customer types their own name, address and governorate at checkout, not you. This page covers the four parts you use and what to set up before your first sale.

The four parts

Part What it does for you
The merchant admin Where you work: catalog, orders, design, marketing, team.
Your storefront What shoppers see: products, cart, checkout, order tracking.
The subscription Your plan, its limits, and what each plan unlocks.
The store wallet The balance Storix takes platform charges from, such as your renewal.

The difference is simple. The admin is for you and your team. The storefront is for your customer.

Your store link now, your domain later

A new store opens on its own address on storix-ai.store. It is free, works immediately, and takes orders on day one.

Your own domain, such as www.mystore.com, comes with every current Storix plan: Starter, Growth, Pro and pay-as-you-go. Buy it once orders arrive, not before launch.

What the plan and the wallet mean

  • Renewals come out of your store wallet, not a card charged in the background.
  • Top-ups are in EGP, and only the store owner can recharge.
  • If the wallet cannot cover a renewal, the store moves to pay-as-you-go, or the subscription becomes Suspended and the storefront is paused. You get warned first: the Subscription page shows Top up to avoid interruption.
  • When a free trial ends, nothing is charged automatically. The store moves to pay-as-you-go unless the owner already chose a paid plan.

Your plan limits and your usage sit on Wallet & Billing → Subscription, under Usage and limits.

Eight steps before your first sale

Storix gives you the list. Open the admin and the Launch your store checklist shows what is done and what is missing.

  1. Store created — done for you.
  2. Complete store profile — name, support phone, legal details, address.
  3. Choose your store timezone — pick one and save; the default does not count.
  4. Choose your tax mode — save your tax settings once.
  5. Choose storefront language — set the default customer language and save the draft.
  6. Configure checkout — one payment method and one shipping method, both fully set up.
  7. Publish your first product — one active product with a price and stock.
  8. Review legal pages — publish your privacy, terms and refund pages.

Then Launch your storefront. In that order, nothing blocks you at the end.

Do not switch everything on at once

The admin holds far more than a new store needs: affiliates, loyalty, drip emails, bundles, gift cards. Leave them for now.

Pick one goal for this month — delivery inside Greater Cairo, say — and set only what serves it: one payment method, one delivery method with your governorates and prices, five products with real photos. Add the next tool when a real problem asks for it.

Move off WhatsApp gradually

Do not move a year of spreadsheet history overnight. Add your best sellers first, send WhatsApp customers the product link instead of a price list, and let orders land in the admin. Within weeks the messages are the exception, not the system.

Move your orders out of WhatsApp and Excel into one organised store — create your Storix store free. Nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends.
