How does cash on delivery (COD) work on an online store with Storix?
Customers place the order online and pay the courier in cash when the parcel arrives. Storix records the order, the COD amount, and the delivery status together, so when the connected courier (Bosta, ShipBlu, or Mylerz) collects the money, the order, the cash, and the courier settlement stay reconciled instead of living in a separate notebook.
Can I confirm or OTP-verify COD orders before I ship them?
Yes. You can review each COD order before dispatch and confirm the customer by phone or an order-confirmation step, which is the single biggest lever against fake or impulse orders in Egypt. Confirming before handoff means fewer rejected parcels at the door and less money tied up in returns.
Does Storix charge a per-order fee for cash on delivery?
No. Storix does not add a per-order COD fee on top of your plan. The only delivery cost is whatever courier you choose charges to collect and deliver, and you control that through your own shipping rates, so your COD economics stay predictable.
Can I offer card or wallet payments alongside COD?

What happens to the money and the stock when a COD order is returned?
When a parcel comes back as a return or RTO, it is recorded against the same order, so the item goes back to stock and the uncollected COD is reflected in the order and finance view. That keeps your inventory count and your cash position honest instead of drifting apart every time a delivery fails.
