Answers before you launch your store
Clear answers about domains, COD, payment readiness, delivery coverage, social orders, checkout fields, staff access, mobile, support, and what is live now.
- Can I start without a custom domain?
- Yes. You can launch on a Storix subdomain first, then connect your own domain later when your brand and DNS setup are ready.
- How do I connect my own domain later?
- Use Domain Connect authorization where your DNS provider supports it. If it is not available, Storix shows the exact manual DNS records to add. You do not need to transfer the domain to Storix.
- What happens with cash-on-delivery orders?
- COD orders keep the customer, delivery city, selected shipping method, collection expectation, and settlement visibility together so the team can follow what was collected and what still needs review.
- When do customers see payment methods?
- Customers only see payment options after you connect and test the gateway or method from store settings. Payment links and manual proof review stay separate so unfinished options do not appear at checkout.
- Can I use couriers and manual delivery?
- Yes. You can configure shipping methods, coverage, rates, pickup details, and delivery expectations. Connected courier features depend on the provider and plan; manual delivery can still be tracked with clear order statuses.
- Can I sell from Instagram, Facebook, or WhatsApp?
- Yes. You can move social or phone orders into Storix with customer details, order status, payment links, and fulfillment notes so the work does not stay scattered in chats.
- How do abandoned carts and repeat purchases work?
- Supported plans can use abandoned-cart recovery, lifecycle messages, bundles, rewards reporting, and campaign tracking. Channels only run after you configure the relevant settings.
- Can I control checkout fields?
- Yes. You can add checkout fields for the information your store needs, including optional paid add-ons such as gift wrap, while keeping required fields clear for shoppers.
- Does Storix support Arabic and English?
- Yes. The storefront and merchant admin support Arabic and English, including right-to-left layout for Arabic.
- Can staff access be controlled?
- Yes. Team members can be invited with role-based permissions so staff see the areas they need without opening the whole control plane.
- What can I manage from mobile?
- The Android merchant app is available from Google Play for order follow-up, customer details, and alerts. iPhone and AppGallery versions will appear here when they are ready.
- Can I export or keep my data?
- You can export catalog data from the merchant admin. For larger migrations or operational data needs, coordinate with support so the scope and target system are clear.
- How does support and onboarding work?
- Start with the help center or support chat. Share what you sell, how you deliver, your payment flow, and any domain questions so the team can point you to the right setup order.
- What is live now versus coming soon?
- Live features are shown as available actions in the product. Beta or coming-soon items are labelled clearly, and unavailable payment, app, or integration options stay hidden until they are configured.
