Store analytics for cash-on-delivery sellers

Revenue counts cash on delivery only after settlement, so read delivery rate by carrier, COD collection and returns before you scale.

Launch basics

The order count is the most flattering number in your admin, and the least useful. Forty orders in a day feels like a good day. If twelve are refused at the door and three come back from the van, it was an average day that cost you delivery fees twice.

Storix already separates the two for you. Cash-on-delivery sellers need a short daily read and a longer weekly one, using Analytics → Analytics and Analytics → Shipping.

Revenue already waits for the cash

The Revenue card counts money from collected orders, and cash on delivery counts only after the courier settles it. Cancelled orders are excluded, and refunds do not pull the number back down.

Orders, on the card next to it, counts everything placed in the period, including unpaid and cancelled orders. So the gap between Orders and Revenue is your real leak, and you do not have to calculate it by hand.

Two more cards make the picture honest:

  • Paid rate — collected orders out of all orders.
  • Completed rate — completed orders out of all orders.

There is no "conversion rate" metric in Storix analytics. Use these two instead of looking for one.

Five minutes, daily

Pick Today on Analytics → Analytics. The Today so far card compares with the same time yesterday and refreshes every 60 seconds.

Then open Analytics → Shipping and read four things:

  1. COD collection rate — delivered COD shipments out of all COD shipments in the window.
  2. COD pending settlement — money the courier still owes you.
  3. Shipments needing attention — shipments with no update for more than three days. This one counts your whole store, not just the window.
  4. Return to origin, Exchange and Customer return — the parcels coming back.

Five minutes, and you know whether today is real.

The weekly read: carrier by carrier

Still on Analytics → Shipping, the Delivery by carrier table gives you Total, On time, Late and On-time % per carrier. Storix colours the percentage: green at 80% or above, amber at 60% or above, red below that. Breakdown by provider adds cost, revenue and margin per carrier.

Compare Bosta against your own self-delivery runs on your own routes. Reputation is not evidence; your own on-time percentage is.

One honest limit: Storix does not give you a refusal or return rate per governorate. The geographic cut you do get is Top cities by revenue on Analytics → Analytics, and it needs an advanced plan. For a weak area, look at the orders themselves rather than waiting for a report that does not exist.

What to do with a bad number

  • On-time % low with one carrier on one route: move that route to another carrier and re-read next week.
  • Refusals high from an area: ask for part of the money up front. Storix gives you two real ways — a product Deposit of 1% to 99% paid at checkout, or a payment request link on the order that you can send over WhatsApp.
  • COD pending settlement growing: chase it in Shipping → COD payouts, where each order has a row and an Aging bucket.

InstaPay and Vodafone Cash are real payment methods you can offer. Egyptian mobile wallets are listed as needing an agreement with a payment provider, so check what your plan and provider allow before promising a customer.

Read like this, not like that

  • Compare like with like. Turn on Compare: on and read the previous period next to this one, rather than a weekday against a weekend.
  • Change one thing at a time. Two changes in one week teach you nothing.
  • Watch your period buttons: your plan caps how many days one report may cover, and the longer buttons grey out when you pass it.
  • Before you scale spend into a governorate, check that delivery there is already steady. Doubling orders in an area that refuses half of them doubles the loss, not the profit.

For the wider dashboard tour rather than the cash-on-delivery cut, read all your analytics in one place.

Every number here is live from your first order — create your Storix store and watch your own on-time rate per carrier.
