Vacation and Maintenance modes in Store settings

Pause the whole storefront — checkout included — behind a customer banner with a return date, and let it reopen by itself. Both modes are tabs in Store settings.

Operations

Every store needs to close sometimes: Eid travel, a stock-taking week, a supplier gap. Doing it by hiding products one by one is how orders slip through while you are on the road. Storix gives you two clean off switches, both living as tabs in Store settings («إعدادات المتجر»): Vacation mode («وضع الإجازة») and Maintenance («وضع الصيانة»), reachable directly at the vacation and maintenance tabs.

Vacation mode is the honest closed sign. When you switch it on, the entire storefront — product pages and checkout included — is replaced by a vacation page carrying the message you write, in Arabic and in English, plus your return date. The storefront reopens by itself on that date, so reopening does not depend on someone remembering a laptop on the first working day back. Keep both languages filled in: your Arabic message is what most shoppers read, the English one covers everyone else.

What to write in the banner

Say when you are back and what happens to orders placed before you closed. A specific date beats "next week", and one line about dispatch timing after reopening ("orders resume Tuesday 10 am") prevents a mailbox of "where is my order" messages on day one.

Maintenance is the technical sibling

The Maintenance tab covers the moments the store must close for work — a theme overhaul, a data cleanup — with the same banner mechanism. Reach for vacation when the reason is calendar and for maintenance when the reason is wrenches; your customers read the difference even if the mechanism is the same.

Before you switch either on

Sweep the outstanding orders first: confirm what ships before you close, and note what waits until after (the daily order routine is the checklist). Then set the return date, write both banners, and close the store with a clear conscience.
