Reviewing customer delivery reschedule requests

What lands in Shipping, Reschedule requests: the shopper's preferred window and note, one-click approve or decline, and the effect each decision has on the shipment.

Operations

Reviewing customer reschedule requests is a daily two-minute job, because life happens after checkout: the shopper is at work, the grandmother who signed for packages travels, the phone is silent at the old address. Storix lets shoppers ask to retry delivery on another day, and those asks land in one queue for you: Shipping ← Reschedule requests («الشحن ← طلبات إعادة الجدولة»), visible to team members holding the reschedule-review permission.

Each card in the queue is one shopper request. It shows the order and shipment, the preferred delivery window the shopper picked, and any shopper note they typed — "only after 6 pm", "call the new number, the old one is my office". Read the note before you decide; a window the courier physically cannot serve is better caught here than as a second failed delivery attempt.

Approve or decline in one click

Approve sends the reschedule to the shipment: the new window is what the courier works to, and the shipment's schedule updates. Decline keeps the original arrangement — use it when the request is impossible (a date past the return window) or abusive (a fourth reschedule on the same parcel). Declining takes an optional note; when you write one, make it a sentence the shopper could read without feeling judged, because its job is to explain the next step, not to win an argument.

Work the queue daily

The queue is designed to be emptied, not filed: a pending reschedule is a parcel parked somewhere, and parked parcels age into failed deliveries. Fold a pass over the queue into the daily order routine — morning coffee, approve the reasonable, decline the impossible, and the courier's day starts with clean instructions.

If the same shopper reschedules repeatedly, that is a signal, not a nuisance: the phone number may be wrong, the address may be undeliverable by that courier, or the order may be drifting toward a refusal. Handle the signal instead of the symptom — a confirming phone call resolves in two minutes what a third reschedule cycle will spend two days discovering.
